Robin Thicke’s “Paula,” The MOC Preview & ST CD Review Length

….The loss of his most significant adult relationship—-and possibly, some of his sanity right along with it—-is painfully chronicled in his seventh studio CD, Paula.

To be fair, all we’ve been privy to are trashy photos and gossipy innuendos of what imploded their once-idyllic marriage: whether it was an ‘open marriage’ gone awry, ‘Mileygate’ or whatever, Ms. Patton left with their son Julian and Robin decided to focus his creativity into an ‘Operation ‘Reunited’-type set. However, as admirable as those intentions are, Paula demonstrates more self-pity than self-reflection. Most of the material feels empty and obligatory, revealing issues that should be worked out in couples’ therapy rather than a recording studio.

Haaaa… Robin is starting to bug me. And all of these antics seem like…. staged antics! I sometimes wonder if he and Paula are even split up. That sums up my feelings on hollyweird in general.

As for the CD. I actually like it. Much more than any of his recent material. He definitely needs to do something a lil deeper if he is serious on working out the issues in his marriage. And whatever THAT may be, it sure doesn’t need to be in the public eye.

Lisa, TMZ recently showed him trying to get into Paula’s crib and having no access, so I doubt it’s a stunt (at least on her part since she blindsided him with the announcement). Robin The Boy Wonder is another story……

Robin did have some good songs on the CD, but one song dedicated to her and/or an EP would’ve been less heavy-handed. As of right now, it looks like a long-overdue, yet painful, push from that once-lofty perch for Mr. Thicke.

Liked this article. I agree that Robin Thicke has lost his marbles. Wonder if he’s on drugs or has some type of mental problem. Wow!! he really needs help!!
